When I came to Australia, I didn’t know any English. A friend told me about SydWest and I discovered that there was a Tamil caseworker who spoke my language which was good. She was able to interpret for me and help me with my questions. There were many challenges when I first came to Australia, but here I am free to improve myself. I decided I didn’t want to rely on Centrelink for money and quickly found a job. My SydWest caseworker also helped me to set up an ABN and business number so I could start a business. My dream is that I can grow my business, own a home and provide a good education for my son.
